The International USR Summit 2024 will be hosted by Beijing Normal University from 21 to 23 October 2024. The Summit programme will focus on the theme of "University Social Responsibility: Educational Transformation and Sustainable Development"

Your abstract proposal will need to have a clear connection to the
summit theme and your nominated sub-theme.
Key Dates:
Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 August 2024
Notification of Abstract Acceptance: 14 September 2024
Registration Deadline: 20 October 2024
Note:
• Ensuring quality reviews of all submissions remains our highest priority. The reviewing process may be delayed briefly.
• All presenters must register for the Summit. Registration will be free of charge for all delegates.
Submission Guidelines:
(1) Abstract should include a title and should not exceed 250 words.
(2) All abstracts must be submitted and, if accepted, presented in English or Chinese.
(3) All abstracts must include the presenter’s and co-presenter(s)' details, including full name, institution and country.
(4) For joint submission, the corresponding presenter is responsible for submitting the abstract, including co-presenter(s)’ bio statement(s), for the group; and for ensuring that all co-presenters have approved the submission.

(6) Presentations will be assigned to one of the seven parallel summit tracks according to the submitted sub-themes. The purpose of the parallel summit tracks is to direct delegates towards the topics that most interest them. Please indicate in the proposal the track to which the presentation will be best suited
Review and Approval Process
(1) All abstracts will be subjected to the review of the USR Summit 2024 Organising Committee. They will be selected based on:
a. relevance to the summit theme and nominated sub-theme;
b. appropriateness and significance of the topic/issue;
c. reference to current theory, pedagogy and/or research;
d. coherent description of contents and organisation of submissions;
e. clarity of objectives, outcomes and implications; and
f. originality and innovation; and
g. quality of the abstract.
(2) The review process usually takes around 2 weeks. The results would be notified via email.
(3) Review comments will be communicated to the corresponding presenter, and the presenter may be required to make necessary revisions and send the revised abstract on or before the prescribed day.
(4) The Summit Organising Committee reserves the right to edit the abstracts.
